Here’s my collection of favorite songs released in 2012. I didn’t have as much trouble whittling this list down compared to 2011, but again tons of good music came out this year. Here are some notes:
1. No repeat artists. That sort of killed me because I really wanted Azealia Banks’ “Esta Noche” on there but oh well. I also had trouble narrowing down songs for Solange, Kendrick Lamar, and Elle Varner. Good for them.
2. I avoided putting songs on this list that I have already posted but there might be a song or two that slipped through. Deal with it.
3. The songs are arranged to play through like a playlist, otherwise they are in no particular order.
4. I think most of us can agree that 2012 was yet another rough and uninspiring year, so if this list feels a bit melancholy, SORRY BOUT IT GTFO 2012.

For Science. Some shirtless dude solves a Rubik’s Cube while doing one-handed push ups.
